iDEAL
iDEAL is an online payment method that lets consumers pay through their own bank. Whether it appears at a particular merchant depends on that merchant's current checkout and the customer's eligible bank flow.
Treat bank authorization and merchant credit separately
Check the payment page for the merchant and amount, approve only through your bank's recognized environment, and keep the confirmation until the merchant account reflects the payment.
The official iDEAL information describes a direct online payment through a bank app or online banking. Product pages and checkout steps can evolve, so follow the live flow rather than an old screenshot.
A confirmed bank payment does not establish that every merchant supports iDEAL for every customer or transaction. Deposit and withdrawal methods should be checked separately.
If a bank record exists but the merchant balance has not updated, retain the reference and contact the merchant through its official support channel before retrying.
Before paying
- Confirm iDEAL is shown in the merchant's checkout
- Review the merchant, amount, and bank
- Approve only in the recognized bank flow
- Save the confirmation and check merchant credit
Do not assume
- Every bank or merchant offers the same iDEAL flow
- A deposit method is also a withdrawal method
- An old interface description matches today's checkout
Use the current iDEAL and merchant instructions; do not infer account or regional eligibility from the method name.
