Wrong Address

Match the receiving address, asset, network, and any required memo or tag with the destination's current instructions; after an error, preserve the transaction ID and contact the relevant official support channel without sending more funds.

Before sending, copy the address from the intended wallet or service and compare its beginning and end with the displayed destination. Confirm that the asset and network match on both sides; a familiar ticker does not prove that two networks are compatible. Add a memo or destination tag when the receiving instructions require one.

Check the amount and network fee on the confirmation screen. A small test transfer can reduce uncertainty only when the destination supports it and the extra fee and delay are reasonable; it is not a guarantee that a later transfer will succeed. Never bypass a warning about an unsupported network or missing destination detail.

If you already sent funds, save the transaction ID, timestamp, asset, network, sending address, and intended destination. Check the transaction on an explorer for the network used, then contact the receiving wallet, exchange, or operator through its official support channel. Recovery may not be possible, and support cannot necessarily reverse an on-chain transfer.

Verify before sending

• Confirm the receiving address from the intended destination

If something went wrong

• Do not send another payment to unlock or recover the first
• Do not assume an explorer can reverse a confirmed transfer
• Do not share seed phrases, private keys, passwords, or OTPs
• Do not trust unsolicited recovery offers or support impersonators

Preserve the transaction details and contact the receiving service through the official channel; do not promise yourself that recovery is possible.
