USDT
USDT is issued across multiple blockchain networks. The ticker alone is not enough to identify a deposit: match the exact network and receiving instructions before sending.
Confirm that the sender and recipient support the same USDT network, then check the address, any reference field, and the current fee shown by the wallet.
A token can share its ticker across different networks while using different addresses and transfer rules. A service accepting USDT does not necessarily accept every network version.
The receiving screen is authoritative for its supported network and any memo or tag. Do not rely on a search result, an old screenshot, or an address copied from another deposit.
Tether publishes information about its tokens and supported infrastructure, but exchange, wallet, and merchant support is determined separately by each service. Availability and fees can change.
Before transferring
- Select USDT and read the full network name on both sides
- Copy the current receiving address and required reference
- Review the wallet's fee and total debit
- Keep the transaction hash and check the receiving service's status
Avoid these assumptions
- USDT on one network is automatically interchangeable with another
- A displayed dollar reference guarantees a fixed market price
- A sent transfer can always be reversed
Compare the current deposit instructions with the wallet preview; stop if the asset or network labels differ.
