TRC20
TRC-20 is TRON's fungible-token standard. Its interface compatibility with ERC-20 does not make a TRC-20 transfer interchangeable with an Ethereum transfer.
Check that the receiving service explicitly requests the same TRON-based token route, then compare its address and current network-fee information with the sending wallet.
TRON's developer documentation defines TRC-20 as its token standard and describes compatibility at the interface level. Interface compatibility is a developer property, not a guarantee of deposit compatibility across services.
A service may show the same asset ticker for different networks. Follow the exact network and address on the receiving screen, including any additional reference it requires.
Transaction resource or fee treatment can depend on the network and wallet. Do not assume that a fee, speed, or supported-asset list shown elsewhere applies to your current transfer.
Verify before sending
- Read the complete network name on the recipient page
- Match it to the TRON option in the wallet
- Check address and any required reference
- Review the live fee and keep the transaction ID
Avoid
- Treating TRC-20 and ERC-20 as the same deposit route
- Using a previously saved address without checking its network
- Assuming the recipient can recover an unsupported transfer
If the receiving instructions do not explicitly match the TRON route, pause and ask the service through its official support channel.
