Deposit Confirmations
A deposit can be visible on a blockchain before a service credits the account; confirm that the transfer matches the receiving instructions.
Check the transaction hash on the exact network, then compare asset, destination, amount, and any memo or tag with the deposit instructions. The receiving service may have its own processing and crediting steps; confirmation counts and thresholds are not universal.
Before sending, verify the asset and network shown by both the wallet and receiving page. Similar token names can exist on different networks. Copy the address from the current deposit screen and check whether a memo, tag, or other reference is required.
After sending, use the transaction hash to inspect the matching network explorer. A blockchain record describes the network transaction, not the receiving account's internal credit decision. Ethereum's transaction documentation, for example, describes inclusion in a validated block; another chain can use different rules and terminology.
If the transaction appears complete but the balance is unchanged, do not send again automatically. Save the hash, network, asset, amount, address, and time, then ask the receiving service to compare them with its current deposit policy. Do not publish private account details or wallet recovery material.
Match these details
- Asset and exact network
- Deposit address and memo/tag requirement
- Transaction hash and explorer status
- Amount and timestamps
- Current receiving-service deposit instructions
Network rules vary
- Do not assume one confirmation count applies to every chain
- Do not treat an explorer record as proof of account credit
- Do not retry before understanding the first transaction
Send the transaction reference and matching deposit details to verified support if the network record and account history do not reconcile.
