Blockchain Basics

A blockchain transaction moves through more than one status: a wallet may submit it, a network may include it in a block, and the receiving service may still need to process it. These stages are related but not interchangeable.

Track the transaction, not just the app screen

Save the transaction hash, confirm that it belongs to the intended network, and use that network's official explorer to review its status. A network confirmation does not by itself prove that a separate platform has credited the transfer.

A transaction is an instruction submitted to a particular network. The wallet or service may first show it as pending or submitted; a block explorer can help locate the transaction by its hash. Check that the explorer is for the same network and asset route used by the sender.

When a transaction is included in a block, later blocks may add confirmations or finality according to that network's design. There is no single confirmation count or waiting time that applies to every chain, asset and receiving service. Use the current guidance from the network and destination service rather than a generic number.

If the explorer shows the transfer completed but the destination balance has not changed, compare the destination address, asset, network and any required memo/tag. The receiving service may have a separate review or crediting step. Contact its official support with the hash and reference; never resend simply because one screen is slow to update.

Read a transaction status carefully

  • Copy the transaction hash from the sender
  • Use the official explorer for the correct network
  • Compare sending and destination addresses
  • Check asset, network and memo/tag requirements
  • Distinguish network inclusion from service credit
  • Keep the request reference for support

Do not assume every network behaves alike

  • Confirmation requirements vary by network and recipient
  • A transaction hash does not prove the destination credited funds
  • A similar network name may refer to a different route
  • Avoid resending while the original transaction is unresolved

Use the transaction hash on the official network explorer, then ask the receiving service about its separate crediting status if needed.
